During the construction period when instruments and tubing are being installed, ensure that the openings are sealed from the elements and cleanliness maintained.

Keep for Qualification Assurance and Quality Control records. Invite local fitting representative to perform site training of all contractor instrument fitters and document the training. Tube fittings are Swagelok or Parker A-Lok and contractor understands the installation procedure as recommended by manufacturer. Remove soft seat trim and whisper trim from vent valves and other valves used to blow down lines. Instruments need to be verified per the Instrument Specifications, function checked and calibrated prior to final loop check and acceptance. Items such as regulators and solenoids may not be installed in tubing runs unless they are independently supported. All instruments and control devices installed shall be adequately supported even if a specific support detail is not shown on the contract drawings.
